Conversation between Takashi Murakami and Massimiliano Gioni at the Museum of Islamic Art

Qatar Museums Authority organized a public conversation between world-renowned artist Takashi Murakami and Massimiliano Gioni, curator of "Murakami - Ego" at the MIA auditorium last night.  The event took place with full house attendance after the opening of the exhibition which has received wide public attention.
During the talk Gioni discussed with Murakami the 100-meter painting and all his sources of inspiration for that work which expresses his reaction to recent natural disasters which have hit Japan.  The talk also highlighted the usage of animation in art exhibitions and artistic methods which are successful in expanding audience base.
